YOGA CLASSES | What is Yoga?
Yoga I - Intro to Yoga
If you are new to yoga and hope to discover that down dog really is a resting
pose. Take advantage of greater individual attention, and focus on building
a solid, strong yoga practice. These classes are recommended for everyone
but especially beginners since they prepare the body for the more demanding
poses and sequences found in higher level classes.
Yoga II - Intermediate & Advanced Yoga
Intermediate yoga is designed for those with yoga experience. These classes
build on postures in a structured and progressive format as well as introduce
more difficult variations.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga welcomes all levels of ability. Invigorating poses as well
as calming restorative poses are taught with emphasis on alignment, symmetry
and technique. Yoga props are used to help safely open the body, build strength
and flexibility and develop the mind-body-spirit connection.
Prenatal Yoga
Prepare your mind and body for the challenges of pregnancy and labor while
teaching important stretching, lengthening and calming poses. The class is
designed to build your strength and stamina, ease discomforts of pregnancy
and teach you how to relax. From morning sickness to early labor pains, as
well as breathing techniques and pelvic floor exercises that you will find
valuable during labor and delivery. Experience the fellowship and support
of other pregnant women. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Mama and Me Postnatal Yoga
Newborns to crawlers. Bring your baby with you to regain your strength and
energy, ease stress, and nourish the spirit in the midst of the challenges
of mothering after childbirth. Get stronger at your own pace, learning balancing
with relaxation techniques. Enjoy the community of other new moms while in
a comfortable setting where you may feed or change your baby as needed.
“Our Time” Yoga
Babies 6 to 12 months and Toddlers 2- 4yrs and their Parents are invited to
come and explore Yoga together. This active theme class is a great way to
stretch, play, sing, and have fun with your little one! Discover your toddler's
natural ability to do yoga as they interact with each other and you. An introduction
to breath, focus, asana, and relaxation are discovered.
Kids Yoga
Age 5-7 years. Since this is a very playful age, we focus on games, imagination,
stories and simple practices to introduce the healthy benefits of yoga. Children
in this age range want to jump right in and move. Focus is on enjoying yoga
through play. Social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children
at this stage will be addressed. Engaging interaction and enthusiastic communication
skills will also be taught along with methods for creating a positive classroom
environment.
Youth Yoga
Age 8-10 years. We work with the evolving intelligence, social awareness and
physical growth of kids in this age range while teaching appealing ways to
foster their development. Children at this level have more impulse control
than younger ones and can more fully assimilate the concepts of yoga. Physical
adjustments will be taught as this age group becomes more interested in doing
the poses accurately and experiencing the benefits. We will focus on observing
and reinforcing positive behavior through classroom activities and will explore
creating a cooperative community in class.
Teen Yoga Flow
Pre-Teens & Teens ages 11-16 yrs. Learn the steps before Power Yoga or
Vinyasa Yoga. Teens learn mini Vinyasa flow learning the fundamentals of coordination
of breath to asana (posture) practice. Teens will experience how different
poses can flow together in a progressive series of movement. A firm foundation
and understanding of the postures is put in place as we learn to flow the
postures together.
Family Yoga
With wide age ranges and levels of ability, this class is fun and especially
rewarding. Health begins at home. Family Yoga teaches simple routines, games
and partner poses the whole family will love.
Yoga for Men
A yoga class that is focused on the male anatomy and its requirements while
bringing yoga mind-body awareness to the participants. Vinyasa flow or yoga
with motion is utilized to warm the body before specific asanas or yoga poses
are introduced to stretch and strengthen trouble spots in a man's body.
Piyoga
A class that combines the best aspects of yoga and pilates! You get the benefits
of yoga, such as balance, coordination, flexibility and strength, combined
with the isolated core-strengthening exercises of Pilates.
Chakras Class
Essence of the Chakras class offers a well-balanced, flowing blend of asanas
and pranayama with special attention on the awakening of the kundalini energy
at the base of the spine. With specific breath techniques, postures, and meditation
this class will move the kundalinis through the Chakras, or primary energy
centers. Focus on mantras and meditation.

PILATES CLASSES | What is Pilates?
Pilates I - Intro to Pilates
This is a beginning level class conducted on the floor with mats. You will
learn the basic principles of pilates, working slowly and correctly to build
core strength and flexibility. Other props such as therabands and fitness
circles will be incorporated to make your workout more challenging.
Pilates II - Intermediate & Advanced Pilates
This is an intermediate to advanced level class conducted on the floor with
mats. Experience new exercise variations and a faster paced workout, progress
to an advanced level, adding in more complicated and challenging exercises
that require greater flexibility, endurance and strength.
Pilates Reformer Training
Reformer training is one-on-one pilates training on a specialized table which
allows you to increase or decrease resistance to pilates movement. You receive
the personal attention of a certified pilates instructor who develops a program
designed to fit your body’s needs. You will learn the basic principles
of pilates, working slowly and correctly to build core strength and flexibility.
Group Reformer
Pilates Reformer Training in a group class setting. Up to 4 clients in a class.

If you want to learn some new moves for yourself or to show off on the dance floor, come join us. Shimmy away extra pounds and get in shape with belly dance! Class promotes positive body image in a non-judgmental and supportive atmosphere.
The class will be a 12 week term with the last couple of weeks focusing on rehearsal for a student show. This is an opportunity for students to welcome friends and family to come and watch them show off their moves! This is not mandatory, only for students who wish to perform.
Beginner Cabaret
This class is for students with no or little experience in belly dance. Become
more graceful, flexible and toned through the beautiful, ancient art of belly
dance. Learn posture, isolated body movements, the use of the veil and finger
cymbals. Students will learn what a belly dance performance set consists of,
how to recognize rhythms and develop their own style of dance. We will work
on choreographing a routine for students who choose to perform at the student
show.
Intermediate Cabaret
This class is for students with previous belly dance experience. Building
on the basics we will work on layering and combos and continue working with
veil and finger cymbals. Students will have the opportunity to choreograph
their own routine (solo, duet or troop) to perform at the student show.
Beginning Tribal
Enjoy dancing in a group? Explore the exotic world of ATS, American Tribal
Style belly dance. Students will learn how to dance within a troop with basic
lead and follow technique. Class covers posture, basic isolations, and technique.
Students will have the opportunity to perform at the student show.
Intermediate Tribal
This class is for students with previous tribal belly dance experience. Students
will expand their tribal dance moves vocabulary and begin to incorporate use
of finger cymbals. Students will also learn basic formations and transitions.
Students will have the opportunity to perform at the student show.
Triberet
Discover Triberet Belly dance! An unconventional, fun, unique fusion of Cabaret
and Tribal style belly dance. Learn to break the rules effectively! Focus
is on theory, posture, isolations, strength, flexibility and techniques with
improvisation. Prior Tribal or Belly Dance experience required. Students will
have the opportunity to perform at the student show.
